Natasha Visits Bloomington!

My mom and my best friend Natasha (she now lives in Los Angeles) made a quick road trip to Bloomington last week! (Thanks Mom for making the drive to Bloomington on Saturday for dress shopping with Kara, Julia, Lance & Kylee and then again on Wednesday with Natasha - she's definitely a road warrior!) We had a great time during her quick trip to B-town and it was great to see her! Mom, Natasha & I walked around campus and then had dinner at Little Tibet (great curry and Pad Thai), went bowling & then Natasha, Tristan & I hit the local bar scene for some good times (and lots of laughs....). Here's a few photos from their visit!

IU Football vs. Akron (09/15)

Yes, it's that time of year again! College Football Season! Woo Hoo! Tristan and I (especially Tristan) love college football! Though our Hoosiers are not always the greatest - we firmly believe this is the year for "Play 13" - our rally cry to get to a bowl game for Coach Hoeppner. We're currently 3-0 (undefeated) after beating Akron last Saturday.

We tailgated with our friend Mike and our neighbors Christan & Todd with burgers, chips & hot dogs after the big 5K! There are a few photos of our festivities posted above! (IU won the game 41-24). Go Hoosiers!!

Lana's First 5K

I officially survived my first 5K (3.1 miles!)! On Saturday, 09/15, I ran (well, more of a run/walk combo) in the Bloomingfoods 5K around campus and the city of Bloomington. Our neighbor, Christan, is an avid runner and ran in the race as well (she took the photo of me finishing - that's me in the black capris & white shirt above) - she's awesome and actually runs 1/2 marathons! Though it started out a brisk 46 degrees at race time on Saturday, it turned out to be a great day for running! I finished with a time of 38 minutes & 57 seconds and was very happy with my time - I said if I finished in under 40 minutes, I'd be happy! I've even gotten inspired to run some additional races this fall....who would've guessed? :) Kudos to Tristan, and our friend Mike who was visiting us for the weekend (from Louisville) for getting up and cheering me & Christan on at 8:30 a.m. during the first 1/2 mile of the race - what a surprise to run by the courthouse and see them standing there clapping for us!
